Publication: ISC'7 Geotechnical Site Characterization Proceedings
We are excited to share that the full conference proceedings from ISC’7, the 7th International Conference on Geotechnical and Geophysical Site Characterization were recently published and made freely available online.
This prestigious event organised was held in Barcelona in June 2024 and brought together leading experts from around the globe to discuss the latest advancements in site investigation. Legion Drilling contributed with two papers that were included in the conference proceedings. The first paper summarised key findings from Jonas Garcia-Rincon’s (Legion Drilling’s Direct Sensing Manager) book 'Advances in the Characterisation and Remediation of Sites Contaminated with Petroleum Hydrocarbons', published by Springer-Nature in 2024 and already accessed more than 125,000 times (free download). The second paper focused on the sustainability benefits of using direct-push technologies such as cone penetration testing (CPT), Hydraulic Profiling Tool (HPT), Laser-Induced Fluorescence (LIF), Membrane-Interface Probe (MIP) or Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) in contaminated site investigations.
These publications underscore Legion Drilling’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the field of geotechnical and environmental site characterisation, highlighting how advanced direct-push technologies can not only improve the accuracy and efficiency of site investigations but also significantly reduce the environmental footprint of these activities.
